What is it?

A simple gathering of responsible citizens getting together to talk about how they can better protect children, promote healing and empowerment, and start opening the dialogue about how we can end Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) in our society, once and for all.

How?

It’s simple. Invite your friends, colleagues, family – anyone you think might be interested in helping to end this devastating crime towards children. You can open up your home, meet at a restaurant, or anywhere that is comfortable, inviting, and accessible.

What do we provide?

The Innocence Mission has developed a toolkit to help guide you through the meeting process. From sign in sheets, to discussion topics, we are there to assist you the entire way. We will make sure you have all of the necessary materials, and that all your guests leave with tangible ways that they can get involved to help end CSA in their communities, right now!

Why is it so important?

One of the biggest obstacles facing the fight to end CSA in our communities is SILENCE. Although sometimes sensationalized in media, CSA hides behind decades, if not centuries, of secrecy, shame, and stigma. People, even victims, have shied away from addressing the problem openly and, therefore, we face horribly high incidence rates and under reporting. By speaking about it in our communities, addressing education, prevention, and advocacy, we can start to break the cycle of silence and end the devastating effects of this horrible crime.
