What Is A Day To Make A Difference?
It is a dynamic educational and advocacy program that educates parents, survivors, and community members about the prevalence and effects of Child Sexual Abuse, as well as how to spot, stop and prevent it. Most importantly, DTMAD empowers people to tell their story and speak openly about CSA, so that it is no longer a subject shrouded in shame and silence.
Through speakers, interactive workshops and our Toolkit, attendees leave with tangible skills they can implement in their own communities to IMMEDIATELY protect kids, refer people to the appropriate resources, learn the signs of abuse and know what to do if a victim comes forward to them.
We measure our success by the number of people and organizations we can positively affect through this program. Why? Because it is only through education, awareness, advocacy, action and open discussion that we can eradicate CSA.
