
Heather Brown - Board Member
Heather Brown has been a prosecutor in Orange County, California for the past 12 years. After having received her Undergraduate Degree in Psychology from Loyola Marymount University, she attended Pepperdine University Law School and obtained her Doctorate Degree in Law. During Law School, she worked for the Los Angeles County Probation Department in their Narcotics Testing Unit and she clerked for Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for three years.
Heather has worked in the sexual assault unit for the past six years and has convicted hundreds of child molesters, rapists, and sexual deviants. Heather has handled many high profile cases involving priests, schoolteachers, coaches, bus drivers, babysitters and parents. Heather is currently assigned a caseload that specializes in handling cases involving multiple victims and the rape and sodomy of very young children. She has made presentations to the FBI, local law enforcement agencies, CAST, UC Irvine, Community Service Programs and has lectured on numerous occasions at Cal State Fullerton.
Kathleen Carney - Board Member
Kathleen Carney joined Relational Investors LLC in July 2009 as Senior Legal Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. In addition to coordinating general legal matters and compliance, Kathleen assists the investment staff in analyzing governance issues and developing engagement strategies at our portfolio companies. She will also help maintain and enhance Relational's involvement in public policy impacting our strategy and corporate governance reform initiatives.
Prior to joining Relational, Kathleen was an associate in the corporate department of Weil, Gotshal & Manges, LLP in its New York office, and a member of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice. Her primary areas of practice included public and private business combinations, and counseling corporate directors, managers, institutional investors, and non-profit organizations with respect to governance issues. This included board and committee responsibilities and structure, fiduciary duties, relationships with shareholders, shareholder initiatives, disclosure, and governance “best practices.”
A Summa Cum Laude graduate of Brooklyn Law School, Kathleen holds her Juris Doctorate, and as a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Colby College, holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and French studies.

Joelle Casteix - Board Member, Vice President
A former journalist and educator, Joelle Casteix is now a leading national spokesperson and advocate for victims of child sexual abuse.
As the Western Regional Director for SNAP, the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests, Joelle has been interviewed by the major national and international television networks, local and national radio, and the 24-hours news stations. She has been the principal spokesperson in more than 100 regional and national press conferences, fielding questions from local, national and international media on the issues and news affecting victims of childhood sexual abuse. She has also appeared in numerous documentaries and has served as a consultant on a number of feature film projects regarding childhood sexual abuse.
Joelle has also worked and partnered with organizations including the National Center for Victims of Crime, NAPSAC - The National Association to Prevent the Sexual Abuse of Children, RAINN - The Rape and Incest National Network, The Awareness Center, The John Jay College of Criminal Justice, Cal State Fullerton and other universities, crisis centers, and national victims rights and support organizations.
In addition to her advocacy, Joelle has dedicated a great portion of her career to changing criminal and civil legislation and statutes of limitation for child sexual abuse. She has testified in front of numerous state legislatures, addressing lawmakers’ questions on pending legislation designed to make laws more victim- and child-friendly.
A classically trained operatic soprano, she is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara and completed graduate work at the University of Colorado, Denver.

Renée Hoffman Heath - Board Member, Secretary
A business owner, educator, and performer Renée Hoffman Heath was born and raised in Corona del Mar, California. After 11 years as a professional opera singer and voice teacher in Boston and New York City, she returned to southern California where she owns and operates a successful private vocal studio. Renée is also a former member of the vocal faculty at the Orange County High School of the Arts, in the Opera Conservatory. She has performed in professional opera, concerts and musical theater throughout the Northeast, South and parts of Europe.
Renée began teaching as a senior at the University of California at Santa Barbara and continued in Braintree and Cambridge, Massachusetts while pursuing her Masters degree at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston.

Christine Price - Board Member
Christine Price is the founder, CEO and Creative Director for Christine Price, Inc., a cutting edge fashion design company that specializes in functional and fashionable products for moms. Not only is she a successful entrepreneur, Christine is also the mother of four very active children.
Christine is active with various charities, serves as an Executive Board member for her children's P.T.A., and is a Girl Scout Leader for her daughter's troop. She is a graduate of the University of California at San Diego, and the Los Angeles Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising.

Siobhan Putrick - Board Member, Treasurer
A commercial real estate professional for the past 10 years, Siobhan assists The Innocence Mission with all things monetary. As a Property Manager for Hines, she manages approximately 500,000 square feet of class A office buildings in Southern California. She considers her work with The Innocence Mission a cause for one of the greatest loves of her life – children. When not crunching numbers, Siobhan is an avid traveler and budding wine expert.
The Board of Directors is also comprised of: Edward Flores and Gina Davis.
